ALLERGIES
When exposed to certain substances some individuals' immune system overreacts causing an 'allergic reaction.' Allergens can trigger sneezing, wheezing, coughing and itching and in some people can lead to a variety of chronic respiratory illness like sinusitis and asthma.
Allergic reactions can be obvious like every time you brush a dog you sneeze or they may require a medical diagnosis. Your doctor may do a patch, skin or blood test to determine allergies. Treatment depends on the results of these tests, your medical history and the severity of your symptoms.
